Delirium Comics Presents – The Middle Row, Episode 6
The Zombie Jesus Episode
In this very special episode of The Middle Row we talk about death in comics. Does any one ever actually stay dead in comic books? Jose points out that, thus far, Uncle Ben has managed to stay dead but otherwise death seems to be a vague concept in comics. We discuss the recent news of the potential Doctor Strange script from Zak Penn. Jose is as giddy as a Japanese school girl at a Hello Kitty sale over this.
Once again, we talk about TV shows that have failed and the crop of summer movies coming up. This is a soapbox we really need to get off but Jose gets very upset when they cancel theses shows before they see the light of day. The newest target of his ire is the cancellation of the upcoming FX show Powers, based on the Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming series.
What is going on with Felicia Day and her new “premium” YouTube channel, Geek & Sundry? Should we expect more professional stations on YouTube? Will they and can they compete with cable TV?
In Comic Book news we talk about the first issue of Grimm Fairy Tales presents The Jungle Book from Zenescope Entertainment, Marvel’s current take on the Winter Soldier from Ed Brubaker, the pros & cons of Dead Pool, and Jonathan Hickman and Ryan Bodenheim’s new offering from Image, Secret.
